This will be a dual purpose post today -- Picture of the day and mini product review.
When I was looking for a lightweight strap to compliment my camera, I cam across Gordy's camera straps. They looked simple and very retro. The low cost was also a major plus.
This is a very simple leather strap with waxed cording to clean up the looped ends where it attaches to the camera. The leather is available in 4 colors and the waxed cord is available in 12 colors. I chose a simple Dark Brown leather and Brown cord. I wanted a slight contrast, but nothing too bright.
The build quality looks to be very good. The leather is a simple square and the corded ends look to be well put together, too. The leather is a bit stiff when you first get it, but I usually "play" with it while I am at work. It has softened up considerably because of this.
The price is the same no matter the size. When I carried my DSLR, I always had it cross body. However, this camera feels more natural in the traditional "tourist" position. I purchased the length at 52" for the cross body, but wish I had chosen something around 40". I guess this gives me a reason for a second one. :)
In conclusion, I just love this strap. I have received many compliments on it. This is the best strap I have ever owned. However, I don't this it would be comfortable when used with a heavy camera. It seems more suited for a small mirrorless or point and shoot system.
